ABLIC broke away from Seiko Instruments Inc. in January 2016, and it has been producing analog semiconductors under its present brand since January 2018. Now, as a part of the MinebeaMitsumi Group, ABLIC has a fresh start in April 2020.

Based on the manufacturing of the world's first practical quartz timepieces with CMOS ICs, they commenced in-house development and fabrication of CMOS ICs in 1970. Voltage detectors have great accuracy, low current consumption, and small size.	Watchdog timers with a reset function from ABLIC come with window or timeout modes that can be selected.
