Optoisolators - Transistor, Photovoltaic OutputOptoisolators, also known as optocouplers or photocouplers, are electronic components that use a light-emitting diode (LED) and a photodetector to provide electrical isolation between two circuits. They are commonly used in electronic circuits to prevent high voltages or currents in one circuit from affecting another circuit. Optoisolators are available in a variety of configurations, including transistor output optoisolators and photovoltaic output optoisolators. Transistor output optoisolators use a phototransistor to detect the light from the LED and generate an output signal, while photovoltaic output optoisolators use a photodiode to generate a voltage output. These devices provide isolation between the input and output circuits, allowing them to operate independently and safely.
