Parity Generators & CheckersParity generators and checkers are logic ICs that can be used to detect errors in digital data. A parity generator adds an extra bit, called a parity bit, to a binary data stream in order to make the total number of 1s either even or odd. A parity checker can then compare the generated parity bit with the received data to determine if there are any errors in the transmission. Parity generators and checkers are used in many communication systems to ensure the accuracy of transmitted data.
