PTC ThermistorsPTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) thermistors are temperature-sensitive resistors that are used as sensors in a wide range of applications. PTC thermistors are made from a special type of ceramic material that has a positive temperature coefficient, meaning that the resistance of the thermistor increases as the temperature increases. This allows PTC thermistors to be used as temperature-sensitive switching devices.
PTC thermistors are commonly used in overcurrent protection applications, such as in fuses and circuit breakers.
