On the 23rd, Zeiss Korea Innovation Center, which opened in August last year, disclosed the business status and future plans of Zeiss Optical and Optoelectronic Solutions.
Hyeonseok Jeong, CEO of Zeiss Korea, said that we are planning to build an electron microscope R&D facility and a semiconductor R&D facility...Investment will start next year, and we have a 4-year investment plan of 48 billion won.
ETNews pointed out that this is the first time that Zeiss has established an electron microscope research and development facility outside Germany, and it is also the first semiconductor research and development facility in Asia. Since the project is scheduled to open as early as 2023, Zeiss has started hiring staff.
