According to evertiq, the building of the Prinovis printing factory in Dresden has been given a new look. It has been sold to chipmaker Infineon, which plans to build an innovation and training center at the new location.
The Infineon plant in Dresden is relatively close; there are only a few kilometers between the main site and the building that has now been taken over. The semiconductor company informed Evertiq that it expects more than 500 people to work at the new location and will further evaluate the potential.
"There are limited possibilities for expansion of the existing site. We plan to use and expand the existing site more to handle production-related topics. The new site will enable further growth of the aforementioned topics related to innovation, training, logistics and support", InfraStructure Ling spokesman Gregor Rodehüser told Evertiq in an emailed statement.
Sächsische Zeitung stated that Infineon will take over the construction of the Dresden printing plant Prinovis on July 1, 2023, and has signed a corresponding purchase agreement. Both signatories agree not to disclose the purchase price.
