According to Evertiq, Montierth will be responsible for leading Micron's mobile business, including building mobile solutions to address growing memory and storage market opportunities driven by the demands of data-intensive mobile experiences. Montierth will report to Sumit Sadana, Micron executive vice president and chief commercial officer.

Prior to this appointment, Montierth was vice president of Micron's Computing and Networking business unit and general manager of the High Bandwidth and Graphics Memory product lines. Under his leadership, Micron brought its first high-bandwidth memory products into high-volume production. Montierth joined Micron in March 2021 after serving as vice president and general manager at Marvell and NXP Semiconductors.
Montierth will succeed Raj Talluri, who will leave Micron to pursue new opportunities.
