Zeiss acquires Polish optical systems company Lenso

Zeiss plans to expand the market share of its Industrial Quality and Research division in Poland through the acquisition of Lenso.

According to foreign media reports, Lenso, headquartered in Poznan, Poland, is a partner of Polish 3D Optical Systems, and the company will become part of Zeiss Industrial Quality Solutions.

The goal is to become the number one in metrology and quality control in Poland, Zeiss CEO Michael Hubensack said in a press release.

Lenso CEO Marek Radke said: "We look forward to becoming part of ZEISS and working together to provide our customers with the best solutions. At the same time, being part of the ZEISS family will open up new opportunities for our team and customers."

Following the closing of the transaction, Lenso will join the ZEISS sales and service company in Poland as part of ZEISS Industrial Quality Solutions. In addition, both companies will remain responsible for the services they provide to their customers. The parties agreed not to disclose financial details of the transaction.
