ASML's order in hand is as high as 40.4 billion euros, EUV accounts for more than half

According to Taiwan media Economic Daily, ASML has a record 40.4 billion euros in orders by the end of 2022, of which EUV accounts for 55%. The orders are mainly from logic application needs, while storage is weak.

According to industry analysts, logic applications account for 75% of ASML EUV orders, and storage customers account for about 25%. It is speculated that TSMC, Samsung Foundry and Intel are still actively purchasing machines due to the increased demand for advanced manufacturing processes.

Previously, ASML CEO Peter Wennink said, "The uncertainty that the market continues to see is caused by inflation, interest rate hikes, recession risks and geopolitical developments related to (semiconductor) export controls. But customers expect a rebound in the second half of this year , so the demand for production equipment is still strong. At present, the market demand is still higher than ASML's production capacity." The company has announced that it plans to increase the annual production capacity of EUV lithography machines to 90 units from 2025 to 2026, and the DUV The annual production capacity of lithography machines has increased to 600 units.

In addition, Peter Wennink also warned that US-led semiconductor export controls on China may eventually lead China to successfully develop its own advanced semiconductor machine manufacturing technology.
