Infineon Technologies has announced plans to build a new factory for analog/hybrid signal technology and power semiconductors in Dresden, Germany, with a total investment of approximately €5 billion, which is its largest single investment to date. The company is seeking an additional €1 billion in public funding and expects the new factory to create approximately 1,000 new jobs. The factory is expected to begin production in 2026, equipped with the latest environmental technologies, and will be one of the most environmentally friendly manufacturing facilities in its class. The investment is expected to boost Infineon's semiconductor manufacturing capabilities and contribute to the development of energy-efficient and intelligent system solutions. As an electronic components distributor, we are excited about this investment and look forward to working with Infineon to meet the growing demand for semiconductor solutions in areas such as renewable energy, data centers, and electric vehicles.
