DIY TV Background Light for Eye Protection

If you want to make a TV background light to protect your eyes while watching TV in the dark, you can follow the instructions below.

Current program functions: PWM 3-color dimming:

①Short press button: Switch between "white", "yellow", "bicolor", and "off" states.

② Double-click: White and yellow brightness to maximum; three consecutive clicks: White and yellow brightness to 30; four consecutive clicks: White and yellow brightness to 60; five consecutive clicks: White and yellow brightness to 120; six consecutive clicks: White and yellow brightness to 240.

③ White/yellow/bicolor state: Long press button to increase brightness, and return to 0 when it reaches maximum brightness.

④ EEPROM storage: brightness values for light state, white light, and yellow light.

⑤ Automatically restore the previous light state when powered on, and gradually increase the brightness to the light level.

⑥ The power is directly from the TV USB port, and it turns on/off with the TV.

Future plan: WEB firmware upgrade:

① WEB adjusts the brightness and other parameters of the light state.
