If your earphone battery doesn't hold a charge anymore and it's a Qualcomm Bluetooth chip, the sound quality may still be decent, so you can consider modifying it yourself. Open the cover and replace the battery to make it work normally. If the sound quality is not very good and lacks bass, it may be due to the small and poor quality sound unit. You can consider replacing the sound unit to improve the sound quality. Find an old pair of headphones, such as an old Motorola flat-head headset, and unfold it to study it.
If it's too high and cannot fit, you can consider extending it. Find a 4-point PVC wire tube and cut a section to use for extension after measuring it.
Open a slot on the PVC tube according to the slot on the earphone to hold the plastic ring of the earphone:
The completed product looks like this:
To connect it to the Bluetooth earphone, you also need to create an inner opening. Since the Bluetooth earphone is not completely round, use a heat gun to heat it up and shape it into a circle so that it can be inserted, and then glue it together with fast-drying glue.
However, at this point, you may find that the charging compartment cannot be used.
The next step is to modify the charging compartment because the enlarged speaker obstructs the original charging port. Therefore, remove the charging board and only use wireless charging.
Try it out and it should be able to charge.
After modification, the bass will be slightly improved compared to before, but it still has a considerable difference with in-ear earphones. If you like bass, it may not be worth it, but if you have an old flat-head earphone that you don't want to throw away, you can play with it.
