TSMC Executives: Shanghai Technical Forum & Client Meetings

June 16, 2023 - TSMC, the leading semiconductor manufacturer, is pleased to announce that its President, Wei Zhaojie, accompanied by Senior Vice President of Business Development Zhang Xiaoqiang and Senior Vice President of Asia Business and Technology Research Hou Yongqing, will lead a delegation to Shanghai next week. The purpose of this visit is to participate in TSMC's highly anticipated annual technical forum in mainland China and engage in fruitful discussions with esteemed clients regarding future technological trends and capacity planning.

TSMC's renowned technical forum is a recurring event, traditionally commencing with the North American edition. This year's forum was successfully held at the end of April in Santa Clara, California. While the previous editions of the mainland technical forum were conducted online, we are delighted to announce that this year's event will mark a significant milestone as it returns to an offline format after three years, in compliance with the prevailing pandemic prevention and control policies.

We consider this visit to Shanghai by TSMC's top executives as a momentous occasion, as it marks their first public appearance in three years, underscoring our commitment to engaging with clients and stakeholders.

During the forum, TSMC will unveil the latest advancements in semiconductor technology. This includes noteworthy progress in 2nm technology, new additions to the esteemed 3nm technology family, such as the enhanced N3P process offering exceptional power efficiency, performance, and density. Furthermore, we will showcase the cutting-edge N3X process tailored specifically for high-performance computing (HPC) applications, along with the N3AE solution catering to the requirements of automotive clients.

Moreover, TSMC's executives, alongside participating in the technical forum, will have the privilege of visiting esteemed clients in mainland China. It is noteworthy that mainland China constitutes a significant portion, ranging from 10% to 15%, of TSMC's overall revenue, making it the second-largest business region following North America.
