According to recent reports from Pocket-lint, Samsung is rumored to be considering a significant change in its upcoming smartphones. The tech giant may reintroduce its Exynos chips in several new models, including the highly anticipated Galaxy S23FE and some versions of the Galaxy S24 series.
Currently, the Samsung Galaxy S23 series boasts powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chips. These chips offer exceptional performance and higher clock frequencies compared to the regular Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 platform.
Excitingly, Samsung is planning to launch the Galaxy S23 FE smartphone in the latter half of 2023. Following the success of the S20 FE, this "fan edition" phone is designed to cater to the needs of loyal Samsung users. However, the real surprise lies in the processor choice for this model - Samsung's own Exynos chip will power it, replacing the usual Snapdragon chip.
Moreover, insider sources reveal that Samsung might continue the trend by utilizing Exynos chips in its Galaxy S24 series, expected to be released in 2024. This implies a potential shift away from its short-term collaboration with Qualcomm. Interestingly, the American market may still see Galaxy S24 models featuring Snapdragon chips, while the European market could enjoy the performance of Exynos chips.
