This innovative product line, comprising models such as "R6004END4 / R6003KND4 / R6006KND4 / R6002JND4 / R6003JND4," is specifically designed for applications like lighting power supplies, electric pumps, and motors, presenting an optimal solution for miniaturization and thinning requirements in these sectors.
Responding to the growing demand for smaller MOSFET products in applications like lighting power supplies and electric pump motors, ROHM has successfully launched five smaller and thinner products. These offerings, characterized by high withstand voltage and low on-state resistance, include "R6004END4," known for its low noise and suitability for noise reduction measures; "R6003KND4" and "R6006KND4," featuring high-speed switching, low loss, and high efficiency; and "R6002JND4" and "R6003JND4," leveraging ROHM's proprietary technology to improve reverse recovery time, particularly beneficial for motor applications.
Compared to the previous TO-252 package, these new products reduce footprint by 31% and thickness by 27%, contributing to the development of smaller and thinner application products. Additionally, they support wiring patterns on TO-252 package circuit boards, enabling the direct utilization of existing circuit boards and enhancing overall design convenience.
ROHM, through the optimization of integrated chip shapes, has not only achieved significant progress in miniaturization and thinning but also maintained product performance. Under the PrestoMOS brand, ROHM offers a range of power MOSFET products that retain the characteristics of Super Junction MOSFETs, such as high withstand voltage and low on-state resistance. Simultaneously, these products reduce the reverse recovery time of the built-in diode, providing applications equipped with inverters, like air conditioners and refrigerators, with smaller switch losses and highlighting ROHM's prominent position in the high-performance power semiconductor sector.
