DIY: Upgrade Your KAZUAKI Flashlight

If you have a KAZUAKI flashlight, it can hold two batteries. However, do not use 18650 batteries, or the bulb will burn out in less than 30 seconds. This flashlight uses two special batteries. The two batteries are connected in parallel, not in series.

You can use two Samsung batteries to make a parallel battery pack.

Then, replace the bulb you purchased.

This bulb is warm-colored and not very bright, and the original driver is also not good, with only one mode.

If you find it uncomfortable to use, you can buy a 10-watt bulb kit online, which includes a driver board with five modes.

Here are the removed driver and bulb.

The newly purchased driver integrated circuit is noticeably larger than the original one. The 9926 is a field-effect transistor, and the main control chip has been polished, making the model number unreadable.

First, solder the spring to the driver board.
