MediaTek Unveils Dimensity 7300 Series

On May 30, 2024, MediaTek announced the launch of its latest Dimensity 7300 series mobile platforms, featuring the Dimensity 7300 and Dimensity 7300X. These platforms leverage the highly efficient TSMC 4nm process, offering remarkable performance and energy efficiency.

The Dimensity 7300 is engineered to meet the demanding requirements of modern mobile devices, excelling in multitasking, imaging, gaming, and AI computing. Its octa-core CPU, comprising four Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.5GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores, delivers exceptional performance while conserving power. Compared to its predecessor, the Dimensity 7300 achieves up to 25% power savings at equivalent performance levels, thanks to the advanced 4nm Cortex-A78 cores.

Enhancing gaming experiences, MediaTek's HyperEngine gaming engine combined with the octa-core CPU and Arm Mali-G615 GPU improves gaming frame rates and efficiency by 20% compared to similar products. The platform also integrates advanced technologies such as intelligent control, 5G/Wi-Fi gaming optimization, Bluetooth LE Audio, and dual-link true wireless stereo audio.

In the imaging department, the Dimensity 7300 is equipped with the 12-bit HDR-ISP imaging processor Imagiq 950, supporting up to 200-megapixel main cameras. This enables users to capture vivid and detailed images with ease. Additionally, the platform's hardware engines provide features like precise noise reduction, portrait detection, and video HDR, ensuring clear image capture in various lighting conditions.

The integration of the AI processor APU 655 enhances the platform's AI processing efficiency, delivering twice the performance compared to its predecessor. MediaTek APU 655 supports new mixed-precision data types, optimizes memory bandwidth utilization, and reduces memory footprint.

Moreover, the Dimensity 7300 features the MediaTek MiraVision 955 mobile display processor, supporting stunning 10-bit true-color WFHD+ displays and mainstream HDR display standards globally. For foldable form factor devices, the Dimensity 7300X supports dual-screen displays, enabling manufacturers to create innovative and stylish products.

Additional features of MediaTek Dimensity 7300 include:

· MediaTek 5G UltraSave 3.0+ power-saving technology, incorporating a series of 3GPP R16 5G energy-saving enhancements. Combined with MediaTek's power-saving technology, efficiency improves by 13-30% in Sub-6GHz 5G network connections.
