Intel Core Ultra 7 268V Processor Revealed

Recently, Intel's upcoming Lunar Lake series Core Ultra 7 processor, model Ultra 7 268V, has had its benchmark scores leaked. According to Geekbench data, this processor is equipped with 4 performance (P) cores and 4 efficiency (E) cores, without hyper-threading.

The Ultra 7 268V is designed for ultra-thin and compact laptops, with a focus on energy efficiency. Benchmark results show a single-core score of 2713 and a multi-core score of 10036, with another test revealing single-core and multi-core scores of 2739 and 9907, respectively. These results indicate an improvement in single-core performance over the previous generation, though multi-core performance has seen a slight decline.

In comparison, the Meteor Lake series Core Ultra 7 155H processor scores 2356 in single-core and 11926 in multi-core performance.

The next-generation Lunar Lake processors feature upgraded E cores based on the Skymont architecture, offering up to a 68% improvement in instructions per cycle (IPC) compared to the Meteor Lake's Crestmont LPE cores. Additionally, Intel has made a significant change by removing hyper-threading technology in some Lunar Lake processors to enhance energy efficiency further.
