DIY: Speed Up Your Fogo Glue Gun

If the glue flow from the Fogo flagship lithium battery glue gun takes over 100 seconds, here's how you can modify it for faster dispensing:

Modifications:

· TYPE-C charging port

· SLM6600 charging chip, supports up to 3A charging

· Three-color battery indicator light, five colors through mixing, five battery levels

· Automatic shutdown after 10 minutes of inactivity

· Beep reminder every 5 seconds while heating

· Reduces heating power to 80% once the glue starts dispensing

Program Flow:

· Short press the button: Beep (with increasing frequency), LED indicates battery level, heating starts. After 10 minutes, the beep lasts for 5 seconds, then the frequency decreases, heating stops, and the unit shuts down.

· During use: Short press to restart the 10-minute countdown.

· Long press for more than 1 second to shut down: Beep with decreasing frequency, heating stops, and the unit shuts down.

Possible Changes:

After 2 minutes of heating, reduce the power to 80%, with a PWM frequency of about 100Hz and a duty cycle of 60%. Long press the button for continuous full power heating without a time limit. During heating, the buzzer beeps every 5 seconds.

PCB Board:

Assemble the board and install the components.

The rectangular piece on the button is the buzzer.

Charging Port: This is the first version; the TYPE-C port doesn't extend enough, so the charging cable barely reaches.

Battery Indicator Light: Three colors mix to create five colors.

Second Version PCB Board: The USB port extends more, and the internal dimensions fit the casing better. The button is positioned so that the glue gun won't accidentally press it when standing up.

Usage Instructions:

· Press the button once to start heating; the battery indicator light will show the corresponding color, and the buzzer will beep once every 5 seconds.

· After 2 minutes and 30 seconds, the heating will be sufficient; reduce the power to 80%, with the buzzer beeping every 10 seconds.

· If no buttons are pressed for 10 minutes, the unit will automatically shut down.

· During operation, long press the button for more than 1 second to shut down, or short press to restart the 10-minute countdown.
