The Edifier R12VVT speakers are a pair of 2.0 channel speakers powered by 220V AC. If you want to modify them to run on 12V power from your computer's case instead, here's how to do it. If you're interested, keep reading.

Here's the back of the speaker, showing the 25W power rating.
Since the speakers are originally powered by 220V, you'll need to open them up to see how to convert them to 12V. Below is a picture of the amplifier board after disassembly.

After disassembly, remove the original amplifier board and replace it with an external amplifier box. Disconnect and cut the transformer connections and also disconnect the amplifier board from the speaker.
Then, use the other speaker connection port on the original amplifier board to connect the internal speaker wires, effectively turning it into a passive speaker.
The speaker power is 8W2 with an impedance of 4 ohms. Prepare a 2.0 channel amplifier box with a maximum support of 15W2, and impedance support of 4-8 ohms.
Once you've connected everything, test it with a 12V power adapter. The results should be good with minimal difference in sound quality compared to the original, and you'll gain the additional feature of left and right channel adjustment.
Next Steps:
Install a 12V power output port on the computer's PCI slot, using the 12V power from the main power supply. Here's the completed PCI power board:

If you hear a lot of noise after opening the speakers, it could be due to electrical interference.
To address this, use a single-phase DC filter with at least 3A capacity. Connect it in parallel with the 12V power line from the PCI slot and secure it inside the case. Connecting the ground line to the case will help filter out stray currents.
With these steps completed, your modification should be successful.
