On September 4, 2024, Qualcomm Technologies announced the launch of the Snapdragon® X Plus 8-core platform, expanding its Snapdragon X series lineup. This new platform delivers extended battery life, exceptional performance, and AI-powered Windows 11 AI+ PC experiences.
The Snapdragon X Plus platform features an 8-core Qualcomm Oryon™ CPU, offering ultra-fast response times and efficiency. It delivers 61% more CPU performance under the same power consumption compared to competitors, which require 179% more power for similar performance levels. The integrated GPU supports up to three external displays, ensuring superior graphics performance and immersive visual experiences. At the heart of the Snapdragon X Plus 8-core platform is a robust 45 TOPS NPU, providing outstanding AI processing capabilities and leading performance per watt. Combined with significant improvements in connectivity, this platform enables ultra-portable designs, exceptional battery life, and enhanced productivity. Whether creating presentations or participating in video conferences, the platform's versatility facilitates transformative experiences.
