DIY Guide to Extend Samsung RV411 Battery Life

For the Samsung RV411 laptop, if the battery becomes weak over time and can only last for a few minutes or only works when plugged into the power source, what should you do? If you're interested, let's DIY and extend the battery life of your Samsung laptop.

The battery of this laptop is clip-in, not soldered, so you can fix it easily using a flathead screwdriver, utility knife, and plastic sheets.

However, if you can only charge the battery up to 3.6V using the laptop's charging function, and when trying to charge it directly with a variable power supply, you find that it takes a long time to charge and the battery has good consistency, you can rule out the battery as the issue. The problem is likely with the main control, which may have misjudged the capacity at some point or was intentionally set this way.

Once the battery is charged to 4.2V, it can be used normally for 2 hours, which indicates the battery is still fine, but the main control chip didn't allow it to charge fully.

After testing, charging directly from the laptop allows it to work for 1 hour, which is a small success.
