According to reports, Lenovo has acquired Israeli enterprise storage company Infinidat. While the financial details of the transaction remain undisclosed, Infinidat, founded in 2011, has raised $350 million in funding to date and was last valued at over $1 billion.
As part of the acquisition, Lenovo plans to establish a development center in Israel, further expanding its presence in the region. Infinidat, known for its high-end enterprise storage solutions, employs 500 people, with 300 based in Israel. All employees are expected to retain their positions, and Lenovo has announced plans to significantly grow the local team.
Infinidat offers native primary and secondary storage platforms under its flagship product, InfiniVerse, designed to support modern workloads across on-premises and hybrid multi-cloud environments. The company generates annual revenue in the hundreds of millions of dollars and is currently profitable.
Lenovo stated that this acquisition aligns with its growth strategy and enhances its enterprise storage portfolio.
