If you're interested in upgrading the LIXIN-T DT9205A multimeter to use a lithium battery, this article might be just what you need. Typically, when using a multimeter, the battery doesn't last very long. So, what should you do?
You can prepare a charging board and a boost board, and DIY your way through the upgrade!
First, remove the four screws from the back of the multimeter. Then, use hot glue to secure the boost board and charging board onto the casing (if the charging port on the charging board is too small, you'll need to enlarge the hole).
For the battery, you can repurpose an old Meizu MX032 phone battery. Simply remove the battery, and it will fit perfectly in the space for the screen. Secure it in place using hot glue.
The original 9V charging port functionality remains unchanged. The cutout should look like the picture below, though you can make a neater cut if you prefer.
After testing, everything works fine! Finally, install all the components, and you're done.
The project is complete!
