Compared to consumer electronics applications, suppliers place less emphasis on semiconductor components for projectors, Chien explained.
Currently, Acer's projector shipments can only meet 50% of orders, and this situation is likely to continue until the fourth quarter of 2022, Chien said.
Acer's projector exports to the U.S. are mostly made in Taiwan, with some in India, Vietnam and Indonesia, Chien noted, due to additional U.S. tariffs on domestic projectors.
