The second park of ASE Zhongli Factory will start construction on July 15

ASE Semiconductor, a subsidiary of ASE Investment Holdings (3711), a major semiconductor packaging and testing company, will hold a ground-breaking ceremony for the second park of the Zhongli Plant on the 15th. ASE previously pointed out that an IC packaging and testing production line is set up in the second park of the Zhongli Plant, which is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2024.

According to the information, ASE Zhongli Factory is a smart industrial park that provides integrated services of IC packaging, testing and materials. The Zhongli Factory has long-term layout in the field of wireless communication, and provides image sensor and QFN packaging application solutions.

ASE's Zhongli factory is also actively deploying system-in-package (SiP) module solutions for smart wearable devices and packaging and testing of sensing components, mainly cooperating with IC designers, and providing standard firmware solutions.

In addition, ASE’s Zhongli Plant has also entered into products such as automotive tire pressure detection components and LiDAR. Last year, automotive packaging and testing accounted for about 20% of the overall performance of the Zhongli Plant, and the application range covers various safety components, etc.

According to market assessment, ASE's Zhongli Plant's performance this year can grow by double-digit percentage points compared to last year. The legal person pointed out that the scale of the Zhongli Plant last year was about 1.9 billion US dollars, and it is estimated that it will exceed 2 billion US dollars this year. ASE's Zhongli Plant currently employs about 11,000 people.
