Intel, Marvell and Qualcomm are rumored to raise prices

According to semiconductor industry sources, the industry market is weak, and Intel, Marvell and Qualcomm are preparing to raise prices to respond to market conditions.

According to Taiwan media reports, sources pointed out that Intel plans to implement a comprehensive price adjustment. The new prices will take effect from October 2. The price of server processors will increase by 2-10%, and the prices of workstation processors such as Workstaion will increase by 10%. And notebook processor prices will rise 10-20%.

Intel has not responded to rumors of price increases before, but only emphasized that the company will continue to meet customer demand for products and continue to bring innovation and value to customers in the short or medium to long term.

Qualcomm has recently notified customers that prices for new contracts will rise by 4% and orders that need to be delivered from January 2023 will rise by nearly 10%, the sources said. Separately, customer prices for some of Marvell's tight-supply segments and products will increase by 7-8%, with the new prices going into effect on August 1.
