This year, it falls on the fourteenth day of the leap sixth lunar month and, because it arrives in the afternoon, is commonly known among locals as the "The beginning of autumn is late." Folk wisdom has long warned: "If autumn arrives early, it will be cool; otherwise it will be hot." This suggests that the summer heat will linger, with the Autumn Tiger or Indian Summer — a unique meteorological phenomenon in Chinese folklore referring to a resurgence of hot weather after the start of autumn, often lasting around thirty days — continuing to exert its fierce presence. This lingering heat blankets not only the scorching 40°C lands of the Sichuan-Chongqing region but also fiercely simmers the global semiconductor industry's competitive landscape.
