As shown in the picture below, this rechargeable sensor night light comes with features like always-on mode, motion sensing, and brightness adjustment. The main advantage of a night light is that you don't have to fumble around for switches in the dark.
The night light in the picture usually doesn't last more than a week before the battery runs out, and multiple lights will drain one by one. So frequent charging is necessary. If your rechargeable sensor night light behaves the same way, you can follow the steps below to modify it.
First, you need to remove the battery section.
From the picture, you can see that this night light uses a single 14500 battery. Testing shows that its capacity is 130mAh. Next, you'll need a 3D printer to print a battery holder. Then, prepare to solder two 16650 batteries together.
If you don't have a spot welder, you can simply use solder paste and an electric soldering iron. After assembly, the result looks like this:
