If there If you've been thinking about how to DIY a small desktop speaker, this article might give you some ideas.
Before you start, you'll need a soundboard with a screen as the core part. Once it's built, the little speaker works just fine for listening to music and relaxing. If you're curious, keep reading.
The soundboard with a screen looks something like this:
This board is fairly large, and the screen is pretty big too.
All the ports are already defined, but you'll need to test the buttons yourself.
After testing, everything worked normally. If the backlight feels too bright and drains power too quickly when idle, you can just lower the brightness a bit.
Once the mainboard is ready, you'll need to prepare the casing.
If the buttons are hard to install, you can go with the type shown in the picture—they look nice and are easy to set up.
Next, you'll need to cut openings in a junction box to use as the case.
That's pretty much it. If you don't like the knob, you can replace it with a different one.
On the back, there are only two speaker outputs and one charging port.
The internal circuit looks like the picture above, and you can tidy it up however you like.
The final result is shown here. Paired with a decent set of speakers, the sound quality turns out pretty good.
Done!
