If you're interested in DIY-ing a 1-inch mini speaker, you might want to check out this article. This DIY guide shows the finished product of a 1-inch speaker, so let's take a closer look.
As shown in the picture below, this DIY speaker has a square shape.
The case is a waterproof box with 3mm thick walls, just perfect for a small speaker.
The front looks like this:

The back looks like this, with a MICROUSB charging port. The hole here wasn't drilled very well, so if you make your own, you can do a better job.

Here's the charging board:

The battery is an old Panasonic 18650 cell. With it, you can play music at medium volume for about 8 hours.

The speaker is a 2W 1-inch full-range DENON driver, which gives it a little bit of bass.

It's powered by a 3W stereo amplifier. There's a little static sound when it's idle, so if that bothers you, you can optimize it yourself.

As shown below, you'll also need an external knob and the speaker. You can choose an aluminum alloy knob for a nicer touch.

If the waterproof box isn't very stable, you can add rubber feet for extra support. For a bigger speaker, you might want hard, cone-shaped feet, but for something this small, it doesn't really matter.

When charging, it looks like this:

And just like that, your little speaker is done. Placed by your bedside, it'll sound better than your phone.
The end.
