According to Samsung Electronics, the company has officially unveiled its 2026 global TV lineup at a launch event in Seoul, marking a major shift toward full-scale artificial intelligence integration across its entire product portfolio.
Yong Seok-woo announced that 99% of Samsung TVs released in South Korea in 2026 will come with built-in AI capabilities by default, signaling that AI is no longer an optional feature but a standard configuration across the lineup.
The AI integration spans the entire product range—from ultra-premium Micro RGB models down to entry-level UHD televisions—making Samsung’s 2026 TV lineup fully AI-enabled across all segments.
At the core of this strategy is Samsung’s proprietary AI platform, Vision AI Companion. The system allows users to interact with their TVs through voice commands, enabling real-time access to contextual information such as filming locations, sports statistics, and content insights.
The platform also integrates multiple AI services, including Samsung’s own Bixby assistant, Perplexity AI, and Microsoft Copilot, creating a multi-model AI ecosystem within the television interface.
Compared with 2025 models, Samsung’s 2026 AI TVs feature significant hardware upgrades, including a 2x increase in neural processing unit (NPU) performance and a 6.4x expansion in AI neural network capacity, substantially improving on-device AI processing capabilities.
Beyond AI upgrades, Samsung has restructured its product lineup into a comprehensive display ecosystem covering five major technologies: Micro RGB, OLED, Neo QLED, Mini LED, and UHD. In addition, the portfolio includes lifestyle and specialty display products such as “The Frame” art TV, “Moving Style” portable display, “The Freestyle” projector, and advanced Micro LED commercial display solutions.
On the software and content side, Samsung is also expanding its free streaming platform Samsung TV Plus, adding 24-hour Korean news channels such as KBS News 24 and SBS live broadcasts, along with more than 4,000 hours of Korean entertainment content from major producers including CJ ENM.
As of early 2026, Samsung TV Plus has surpassed 100 million monthly active users across 30 countries, reinforcing the company’s growing influence in both AI-powered hardware and global content ecosystems.
