STMicroelectronics Raises Prices Again After 2 Months

According to a price adjustment notice issued on May 28, STMicroelectronics informed customers that it will raise prices for selected products starting June 28, 2026. This marks the company’s second round of price increases this year, following a previous adjustment announced on March 24 that took effect on April 26.

The latest notice from STMicroelectronics states that the earlier pricing actions were introduced to offset rising operational and supply chain costs. However, since then, inflationary pressure has persisted, while raw material costs have continued to increase. In addition, the semiconductor industry is still facing significant burdens from transportation and labor expenses. As a result, further price adjustments are required, primarily targeting product lines not fully covered in the previous round of increases.

The ongoing adjustments reflect a broader pricing trend across the global semiconductor sector. Infineon Technologies recently notified customers that it will revise prices for certain products starting July 1, following an earlier increase in April. This represents the second price adjustment by the company within the year.

Similarly, Texas Instruments has indicated plans to raise prices for key product categories, including power management ICs, beginning July 1, marking its fourth pricing adjustment within a 12-month period.

In addition, Monolithic Power Systems issued a price increase notice in March, effective May 1, and is reportedly preparing further adjustments in July, with broader coverage and higher magnitude increases expected.

Overall, the successive announcements from major semiconductor players highlight sustained cost pressures across materials, logistics, and manufacturing inputs, reinforcing an industry-wide shift toward continued price normalization in 2026.
