DIY Vehicle Light: Build a Custom LED Headlight

If you happen to own an electric vehicle, but its headlight performs poorly, with a beam that only illuminates about ten meters ahead and cannot be adjusted, you may come up with the idea of building your own custom vehicle light.

First, you need a 1/2-inch 304 stainless steel female-female-female tee fitting. Then, you should cut off the unnecessary external threads. Seal the two female-threaded openings with drilled threaded plugs, and insert fixing screws through them. The assembly sequence is: ➤ Lens ➤ 3535 LED aluminum PCB (drill two holes in the aluminum PCB and route the wires from the back) ➤ Metal washer ➤ Threaded plug hole.

The LED used is a plant-growth blue LED. Its shorter wavelength makes the light easier to reflect.

The switch consists of a TTP223 touch sensor board and an AOD421P MOSFET, both installed inside a small plastic enclosure.

You can use a single LiFePO₄ battery cell with direct insertion. No current-limiting resistor is added. A plug-and-socket connection is used to make battery removal and charging more convenient.
