According to Samsung Electro-Mechanics, the company has notified customers that it will increase prices for its multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) products by 30% starting August 1, 2026, due to rising global demand for electronic components and growing supply chain pressure.
Samsung Electro-Mechanics said that the global electronics industry has experienced structural demand growth over the past several months. Although the company has continued investing in manufacturing efficiency improvements and capacity expansion to meet market demand, supply chain challenges have continued to intensify beyond the level the company can absorb.
To maintain product quality and ensure stable supply, Samsung Electro-Mechanics has decided to adjust the pricing of certain MLCC products. The price increase will apply to all MLCC products under the Samsung Electro-Mechanics Markup Business Code, with prices uniformly increasing by 30% from current levels.
The new pricing will apply to all products shipped on or after August 1, 2026. Samsung Electro-Mechanics stated that the adjustment is a necessary measure in response to ongoing supply chain pressures and expressed appreciation for customers’ understanding and cooperation.
The company also emphasized that it will continue to provide high-quality MLCC products and support customers’ business growth through stable supply and technological development.
