Suppose you happen to have four rechargeable motion sensor night lights with features such as constant lighting, motion detection, and brightness adjustment. They can make your life much more convenient at night because you no longer need to search for the switch in the dark. However, after using these rechargeable sensor lights for a short period of time, the batteries in several lights gradually run out of power, requiring frequent charging, which becomes very inconvenient. At this point, you may come up with the idea of modifying the lights to make them more durable and long-lasting.

First, you need to disassemble the motion sensor night light. This is what it looks like after disassembly.

Inside the light, there is a single 14500 battery. The actual measured capacity is only 130mAh, which is far too small.
Then, you need to open the 3D printer and print a battery holder.

Next, you can prepare to solder two 16650 batteries.

You can directly use solder paste and a soldering iron for welding. After assembly, the result is shown below.

After soldering, you can compare the modified sensor night light with the original one. The upgraded version performs much better than the unmodified light. The modification is complete.
