Samsung Display to Mass-Produce 24.5-Inch QD-OLED Panels

According to Samsung Display, the company plans to begin mass production of a 24.5-inch QD-OLED panel for esports and first-person shooter (FPS) gaming monitors in 2026.

At a recent industry event, several global PC manufacturers unveiled plans for new products featuring Samsung Display’s 24.5-inch QD-OLED panel. Samsung Display said it will provide the panel based on customer demand.

The 24.5-inch display size is widely used in FPS and esports monitors because its compact viewing area allows players to quickly scan the entire screen. This can be particularly beneficial in competitive games that require rapid decision-making and precise control. By adding a 24.5-inch model to its existing QD-OLED portfolio, Samsung Display aims to strengthen its position in the competitive gaming monitor market.

According to market research firm Omdia, Samsung Display shipped approximately 2.5 million QD-OLED monitor panels last year, accounting for nearly 75% of the self-emissive display panel market.

Samsung Display said its QD-OLED technology offers a response time of approximately 0.03 milliseconds. The self-emissive structure enables deep black reproduction, while quantum-dot technology delivers high color purity and a wide color gamut.
