If your bicycle taillight gets accidentally damaged, it will not only look unattractive, but it may also pose a significant safety risk when you ride at night. You might come up with the idea of replacing it with a solar-powered taillight, which eliminates the need for frequent charging and makes it much more convenient to use.

If you happen to have a solar-powered taillight on hand, you can modify the original taillight mount to fit it.

First, place the new taillight next to the original mount and compare their sizes. Plan the areas and dimensions that need to be modified.

Next, follow your markings to cut and reshape the original taillight mount.

Once you finish reshaping the mount, position it at the rear of your bicycle again to check the installation location and make sure it fits properly.

Then, heat the areas where you need to drill holes. Carefully drill the mounting screw holes, and once everything is ready, secure the solar-powered taillight in place.

After completing the assembly, install the modified taillight on your bicycle and test it to see how well the light illuminates and how effectively the reflector works.

The modification is complete, and the overall result looks pretty good.
