According to Kioxia Holdings, the company expects its consolidated net profit for the October–December 2026 quarter to surge 15-fold year over year to ¥1.36 trillion (approximately US$8.7 billion), based on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
The forecast falls short of the market consensus of ¥1.5932 trillion compiled by QUICK. Nevertheless, strong demand for semiconductor memory, driven by continued investment in artificial intelligence (AI), is supporting the company's financial outlook.
Kioxia also announced an interim dividend of ¥90 per share for the April–September period. The company did not pay an interim dividend during the same period in 2025 and had initially planned to make no payment this time. However, it has since decided to increase shareholder returns.
For the October–December quarter, Kioxia projects revenue to rise 4.6 times year over year to ¥2.5 trillion, while operating profit is expected to increase 14-fold to ¥1.995 trillion.
Kioxia specializes in NAND flash memory, which is widely used for long-term data storage. Demand from AI data centers continues to drive strong sales growth as the expansion of AI infrastructure increases the need for high-capacity storage solutions.
During the July–September quarter, revenue from data centers and other applications surged 6.6 times year over year to ¥1.616 trillion, supported by higher shipment volumes and rising selling prices. Revenue from smart devices, including smartphones, also increased fivefold to ¥788.9 billion.
For the April–September period, Kioxia reported net profit of ¥2.1978 trillion, approximately 37 times the level recorded in the same period of 2025. Revenue increased 5.4 times to ¥4.2471 trillion, while operating profit surged 25-fold to ¥3.3145 trillion, reflecting the strong performance of its NAND flash memory business amid growing demand for AI-related storage.
