LS Research (LSR), a leader in wireless product design and development, was acquired by Laird PLC in November of 2015. This acquisition added new capabilities in embedded wireless solutions and services to Laird and extended their reach, presence, and capabilities in the EIoT markets.

Laird Technologies was purchased by Advent International, a private equity firm, in 2018. Laird Technologies was split up into several businesses. Laird Connectivity, Laird Performance Materials, and Laird Thermal Systems are all part of the Laird Group.
