$20 billion! IBM plans to invest in U.S. tech industry over the next 10 years

According to media reports, IBM has announced that it will invest $20 billion in its traditional R&D and manufacturing base in the Hudson Valley, New York, in the next decade for semiconductor, mainframe, hybrid cloud, artificial intelligence and quantum computing technologies. R&D and manufacturing.

 

IBM currently operates a logic device advanced process research and development center in Albany in the region, which has successfully developed 2-nanometer process advanced technology and may become the basis for the National Semiconductor Technology Center (NSTC) public-private partnership model in the future chip act. In nearby Poughkeepsie, the company operates a mainframe research and development facility that has become the company's first quantum computing center.
