According to Taiwan media Economic Daily, panel makers Qunchuang’s 2022 Q4 and annual revenue will rewrite the single-season low since the completion of three-in-one in the first quarter of 2010, hitting a new low in nearly 13 years.
Innolux announced today (9) that affected by the slump in overall demand in December last year, its monthly revenue in December reached NT$16.113 billion, a decrease of 0.4% month-on-month and a year-on-year decrease of 39.2%. Last year's Q4 revenue reached NT$47.913 billion, a decrease of 0.2% month-on-month and a year-on-year decrease of 40%. Last year's annual revenue was NT$223.716 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 36.1%.
Specifically, last year, Innolux’s large-size consolidated shipments totaled 121.21 million pieces, a year-on-year decrease of 18.3%; small and medium-size consolidated shipments totaled 280.43 million pieces, a year-on-year decrease of 15.4%.
On the other hand, during the traditional off-season of panels, panel makers such as Innolux have adopted strict control of capacity utilization to cope with the impact of the downturn in the market. Innolux’s large-size combined shipments in the fourth quarter of 2022 totaled 27.7 million pieces, an increase of 6.0% compared to 26.13 million pieces in the third quarter of 2022; small and medium-sized combined shipments totaled 60.66 million pieces, up from 2022’s 26.13 million pieces. Shipments in the third quarter were 68.66 million units, a decrease of 11.6% compared to the previous quarter.
