Renesas Electronics Acquires Panthronics AG, Boosting NFC Connectivity Solutions

Tokyo, Japan, June 2, 2023 - Renesas Electronics, a global semiconductor solutions provider, announced today the successful acquisition of Panthronics AG, a c company specializing in high-performance wireless products for the electronic components distribution industry. The acquisition was completed on June 2, 2023, in Japan Standard Time and June 1, 2023, in Central European Summer Time, following the necessary regulatory approvals.

Renesas Electronics also unveiled 13 "successful product combinations" design solutions that showcase the continuous expansion of their product lineup in the connectivity field. These solutions integrate Renesas Electronics’ products with Panthronics' unique Near Field Communication (NFC) technology.
