Synopsys Empowers BaniasLabs with Advanced SoC Design Solutions

Shanghai, June 15, 2023 - Synopsys, Inc., a renowned provider of electronic design automation (EDA) solutions, is pleased to announce the achievement of a one-time tape-out success for BaniasLabs' optical DSP SoC design. This accomplishment was made possible through the utilization of Synopsys' cutting-edge 112G Ethernet PHY IP and industry-leading EDA solutions. Banias Labs, in 2021, leveraged Synopsys' IP to harness its technical prowess in low-latency performance, flexible transmission lengths, and mature 5-nanometer process technology. As part of the collaboration, Synopsys offered Banias Labs a comprehensive IP solution, encompassing crucial aspects such as feasibility studies, packaging and substrate guidelines, signal and power integrity models, as well as thorough crosstalk analysis. Moreover, Synopsys' EDA solutions played a pivotal role in optimizing Banias Labs' chip power, performance, area, and yield, delivering superior design outcomes.
