Enhance your smartphone gaming experience with our comprehensive guide! We'll focus on modifying the top configuration version of the Xiaomi Note to unlock its full potential. Discover how to tackle heating issues, optimize screen mirroring, and transform your smartphone into the ultimate gaming powerhouse.
The Xiaomi Note top configuration version has a really good screen, 2K resolution, looks great, and it's hard to find a 16:9 device nowadays. The main issue with this modification was excessive heat, so they added cooling and a fan, and made direct power supply modifications.
There are many similar motion sensing game software available that primarily use the camera to capture movements. However, using a smartphone has one drawback: the screen is too small, so you need to project it onto a TV. With the Huawei Mate 30 Pro smartphone, you can easily play it on a TV, but the only downside is that current smartphone screens are not 16:9, so when projected onto a TV, there are black bars occupying the top and bottom. In comparison, if you use the Xiaomi Note top configuration version, the problem would be even bigger. Although this phone can be perfectly fullscreen when screen mirroring, it is quite old, and the Qualcomm 810 processor generates a lot of heat. Even with modifications, including cooling, fans, and direct DC power supply, the results of testing after the modification would be excellent, solving the heat dissipation and power supply issues, but there may be major problems with screen mirroring.
The Xiaomi Note top configuration version also has 5G WiFi, which theoretically should provide fast speeds of more than ten Mbps without any problem. However, when projecting the screen, the delay is very noticeable. It's fine for watching movies and such, where screen mirroring doesn't have strict requirements, but for gaming, the actions are completely out of sync. Even if you lower the screen mirroring resolution to the minimum 540p or use USB connection mode for screen mirroring, the delay is still significant, making it almost unplayable. It can only be said that this is an outdated product with poor performance.
In comparison, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro smartphone has almost no delay in screen mirroring testing and provides smooth gaming experience.
The mentioned LM2596 and XL4005 are not related to this. The XL4005 has a higher current output and is very stable.
Apply thermal compound underneath, add aluminum, and install a fan after disassembly.
Modification completed.
Next step is to modify the back cover for more comfortable horizontal grip, and then it can be used as a gaming device.
The images shown are from Xiaomi, but the process is the same for modifying Huawei.
By incorporating cooling solutions, optimizing power supply, and enhancing screen mirroring, your smartphone has become a gaming beast.
