Additionally, ams OSRAM provides an open communication protocol (OSP) for the OSIRE® E3731i, allowing microcontrollers to effortlessly send commands and retrieve status updates from each unit. Developed with ams OSRAM's expertise in optical technology and integrated circuit design, the OSIRE® E3731i is a high-performance RGB LED packaged alongside an IC. The IC features three LED drivers, a serial bus interface supporting OSP, a temperature sensor, and on-chip memory.

During production, each OSIRE® E3731i undergoes color and brightness calibration, with the data stored in the LED's embedded on-chip memory. This ensures consistent and uniform lighting across all OSIRE® E3731i LEDs in the ambiance lighting system, making it an attractive choice for automotive lighting solutions.
