Würth Elektronik Launches WE-HEPC SMT Power Inductors

This release signifies a remarkable leap in the realm of electronic components distribution, presenting the industry's smallest nickel-zinc ferrite self-shielded power inductors to date.

The WE-HEPC series stands out not only for its miniature size but also for its exceptional performance. Leveraging cutting-edge fully automated manufacturing processes, these power inductors maintain unwavering high-quality standards and, notably, deliver a higher saturation current compared to Würth Elektronik' existing inductor lineup and competitors in the market.

This groundbreaking series features a diverse range of 15 models, each with unique characteristics, covering inductance values from 3.3 to 100 μH and saturation currents ranging from 1.3 to 3.3 A. To cater to various design requirements, the series is available in two compact package sizes: 5030 (4.8 × 4.8 × 1.8 mm) and 6030 (5.9 × 5.9 × 2.85 mm).

WE-HEPC power inductors are ideally suited for a wide range of applications, including DC-DC converters, filter circuits, and embedded computing systems. Furthermore, this product has received AEC Q-200 Grade 1 certification, making it a viable choice for select automotive interior applications. Operating seamlessly within a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C, these inductors feature a solder pad pattern that is backward compatible with Würth Elektronik' previous-generation WE-SPC and WE-TPC inductors, thereby offering customers unparalleled design flexibility.
