How to Assemble a Portable Version of T12 Soldering Iron?
If your soldering iron is broken and you have an aluminum alloy box with a 12v LED power supply, then you can make a portable battery version of the T12 soldering iron!
First, remove the front silk screen of the aluminum alloy box with a remover.
The batteries are bought as a 6-series Hoover vacuum cleaner battery pack, consisting of 6 Samsung 20Q cells. The built-in protection board is well-made and can be used directly.
The kit is bought as 54x. The original panel height differs slightly, so you can also fabricate a new panel yourself.
The battery pack's protection board is well-made. You'll need to buy a 25.2V charger, but the actual voltage is 26.6V, with a current of around 500mA.
Simply slot the battery pack in and fix it with double-sided tape!
If you want to add a four-level battery display on the back, having a voltage display module would be more intuitive!
Charging and discharging share the same port, and the charging port can also serve as a 24V emergency power supply!
On the front, the control board kicks in at 50 degrees!
Overall, it's a bit on the larger side.
Done.
