Apple iPhone 17 Slim to Feature In-House 5G Chip

Recent rumors indicate that Apple plans to discontinue the Plus model in its 2025 iPhone 17 series, replacing it with a new "Slim" model. Initially believed to be the most expensive iPhone 17 variant with a price tag of $1,299, the latest leaks suggest that the iPhone 17 Slim may actually be a more affordable option. This model focuses on aesthetics rather than functionality, resulting in significant design changes.

According to reports, the iPhone 17 Slim will feature a titanium casing, though the titanium content will be lower than in the current iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models. Additionally, it will debut Apple's self-developed 5G modem. The iPhone 17 Slim is also expected to have a single main camera, while the standard iPhone 17 will have a dual main camera setup, and the iPhone 17 Pro will sport a triple main camera design.
