Entegris will provide industry customers with a compelling value proposition in the fab environment and across the supply chain through a broader solutions portfolio and enhanced operational capabilities. The addition of CMC Materials' leading CMP slurries and polishing pads will provide Entegris with a complete suite of end-to-end CMP solutions, also including liquid filters (POU and bulk), post-CMP cleaning chemicals and brushes, CMP pad conditioners, particle monitors and chemical packaging products, reducing development time for these solutions. The expanded product portfolio will increase Entegris' growing semiconductor application services market to approximately $12 billion and content per wafer opportunity, which will increase Entegris' unit-driven revenue from 70% to approximately 80%.
With the closing of the transaction, Entegris established a new operating model. The company will now operate in four divisions:
Micro Contamination Control (MC), which will continue to include Liquid Micro Contamination Control, Gas Micro Contamination Control and New Markets business units;
Specialty Chemicals and Engineering Materials (SCEM), will include Entegris' Advanced Deposition Materials, Specialty Chemicals, Specialty Materials and Gases, and Surface Treatment and Integration business units (all of which are part of the SCEM segment). It will also include CMC Materials' International Test Solutions (ITS), as well as the Performance Materials business, Piping and Industrial Materials (PIM) and QED;
Advanced Materials Handling (AMH), which will continue to include the Wafer Handling, Fluid Handling, Sensing and Control, Liquid Packaging and Life Sciences business units;
The new Advanced Planarization Solutions (APS) segment, which will include end-to-end CMP solutions, including CMC Materials' CMP slurries, CMP pads and electronic chemicals businesses, and Entegris' post-CMP cleaners, pad conditioners, CMP slurry and brush business line.
